EV charging grant for
education institutions.
Mobilize Power Solutions is here to help you take advantage of the new Workplace Charging Scheme for state-funded education institutions.
about the grant.
The Government’s enhanced EV charging grant now covers up to 75% of the cost of buying and installing the EV chargers, which encompasses up to £2,500 per socket.
To be eligible for the grant, schools must have dedicated off-street parking facilities and use an OZEV approved installer to carry out a site survey, as well as provide and fit the charge points and infrastructure.
Here’s why your school should consider taking advantage of this offer:
positive environmental impact.
Embracing EV charging infrastructure aligns your school with green initiatives, playing a vital role in fostering environmental stewardship. The government grant encourages schools to adopt clean air and energy practices, contributing to the acceleration of the transition towards renewable energy sources. Schools who become active participants in the clean energy revolution, set an example for their students and the broader community.
increased revenue.
By installing onsite EV chargers, your school can tap into a lucrative revenue stream. These chargers can not only be used by staff and visitors but can offer the public charging facilities outside of school hours.
With school parking facilities often lying vacant for a significant portion of the year, offering ‘pay for’ EV charging facilities presents a fantastic opportunity to generate income. Your school can earn revenue through user fees and retain a portion of the energy costs for profit, contributing to its financial sustainability.
